Teclast's M30 PMP is mildly attractive, mostly lackluster

Truth be told, Teclast's M30 seems be to a real looker at first, but we're knocking off a few style points due the complete absence of originality. All it takes is a simple glance at the unit's predecessors to realize that the outfit isn't exactly going out on any limbs to innovate. Nevertheless, those still interested can look forward to a 2.8-inch 320 x 240 AMOLED display, USB 2.0 connectivity, FM tuner / recorder and support for AVI, RM, RMVB, BMP, MP3, JPEG and GIF file formats. Thankfully, the mediocrity is met with a suitable price tag -- just $69 for the 2GB model and $82 for the 4GB edition.

Garmin's pricey nuvi 850 shows up fashionably late

Quite frankly, we were a touch overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of new nüvis announced for CES, but apparently, Garmin has managed to recuperate from its own outpouring and is dishing out yet another newcomer. On the docket today is the nüvi 850, a Bluetooth-less navigator that attempts to compensate for its lack of handsfree support by featuring a 4.3-inch 480 x 272 resolution touchscreen, a rechargeable Li-ion good for around four hours, a microSD slot, speech recognition, a 3D map view, support for MSN Direct and a built-in media player. Additionally, you'll find an FM transmitter, audio out and an internal (read: non flip-up) antenna to ratchet the style factor up a notch. According to Garmin, this fairly potent device will be up for grabs in Q2 for upwards of $800.

Folders Which Can't Be Created In Windows And Crack To Create Them

Folders with name: CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5,COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, & LPT9 cant be created using Windows Explorer or Command Prompt directly!

Try creating them anywhere and you will fail . This is prevented as XP terms these folders as SYSTEM Folder Names reserved only for the Operating System.

But there is a trick to create them (using command prompt ) :

Open command prompt by typing cmd in run window & type : md \\.\\C:\con .

Thankfully, we've no idea how twisted your mind must be to create a conglomerate with so much going on, it's truly hard to describe in merely a single breath. Nevertheless, bunnie somehow managed to scrounge up enough hardware to hack together a Chumby-based, drivable RC car with the ability to beam back its surroundings so that it could be controlled from afar. Of course, we can't help but pass along kudos for making this thing work, but seriously, it's high, high up on the list of most unsightly concoctions we've ever seen. Folder Option Disappeared

Guys when your computer infected with viruses THE most common effect is "folder option is missing"
if that so then try this out

Open Run and then type "gpedit.msc".
Now goto User Configuration > Administrative templates > Windows Component > Windows Explorer.
Click on Windows Explorer you will find the 3rd option on the right side of screen "Removes the Folder Option menu item from the Tools menu" Just check it, if it is not configured then change it to enable by double clicking on it and after applying again set it to not configured. I hopes that you will find the option after restarting windows........!!

Leaked Dell laptop brings the sexy

We've had many a leaked Dell fall into our laps over the years, but this one is already shaping up to be our fave. We don't have a name, date, or price on it yet, but we can tell you this number is aiming to be 20mm (0.78-inches) thick, with an aluminum extrusion and carbon-fiber chassis -- exotic materials rarely found in Round Rock machines. It'll also have an LED backlit display, but all of the above is still pretty early so there may be changes made before it goes into production -- which, by our standards, can't be soon enough.

BenQ's emaciated 8 megapixel DSC X800: just barely three-dimensional

It may not be the biggest name in consumer electronics, but when it comes to stuffing megapixels into ridiculously-skinny packages, there aren't many out there who do it better than BenQ. Case in point is the new eight megapixel DSC X800, which, at just 9.8 millimeters at its thinnest point (14mm at its fattest), is not only slimmer than the recently-announced DC X835, it even gives the company's trimmest seven megapixel shooter, the 12.5-millimeter DC X725, a run for its money. Besides its pocketability, however, this model doesn't offer much in the way of high-end features: 3x optical zoom, 3-inch LCD, digital image stabilization, VGA movie mode, and a rather non-standard microSD slot are par for the course here. iPhone invading Canada tomorrow?

According to a report from the market-mindful Bloomberg, old Jobsy could be dropping the iPhone on Canada come tomorrow's keynote. If you believe what RBC Capital Markets analyst Mike Abramsky says (and that's a big if), Apple will unleash the phone via Rogers Communications -- the country's largest mobile service provider. "There's a very good chance that Apple will announce or discuss some kind of other carrier roll-outs, beyond the ones it has done in Europe and the U.S." He said, adding that, "There is definitely very strong demand and interest here." To which we say, "Duh," and, "Hey, we've heard this before." Though we're not sure Steve will have time for the Canadian launch in his keynote, what with all the algae-based hard drives, unicorn laptops, and rays of pure energy he'll be introducing.

Intempo reveals kinda sexy Daisy portable internet radio

Last we heard from Intempo, it was busy grasping for business with a slew of ho hum iPod docks, but it's getting '08 started by offering up a slightly (keyword: slightly) more attractive item. The Daisy internet radio can access "thousands" of online and FM stations, and it can reportedly last for around 20 hours before needing a recharge. You'll also find a pretty basic LCD, but outside of that, we wouldn't expect a whole heap of extras. The Daisy is slated to hit production by next April and will land on store shelves with an admittedly steep £149 ($292) price tag shortly thereafter.

Pleo dissected -- oh, the humanity!

We guess it was only matter a time until it happened. Still, we can't help but feel a bit sad and creeped-out at seeing Pleo splayed in a Santilli-esque display of sideshow curio. Inside, the evil doctors over at ifixit reveal a single-piece, rubbery skin covering 14 motors, more than 100 gears, 15 circuit boards, 1 color camera, 2x microphones, 1 IR transmitter, 1 accelerometer, and 8 touch capacitance sensors. Plenty of high-res shots just beyond the read link. Man, aren't there laws against this kind of thing?

Shuttle has launched its XPC Barebone SX38P2 Pro, a mini-PC barebone designed for 45nm Intel processors and which can accommodate two graphics cards.
The SX38P2 Pro supports PCI Express 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and 8-channel HD-sound with Dolby Digital Live! and the DTS Connect certification. Up to three internal hard disks can be installed inside the system which can also be expanded via the two external eSATA ports.
A Mini-PCIe slot is available for used with Intel Turbo Memory to help accelerate system boot up and the loading of programs, the company highlighted.
The Shuttle XPC Barebone SX38P2 Pro is available now in specialist stores at a recommended price of 429 euros (excluding VAT) (US$499).

USB designers Skymedi and 3S see Samsung and Kingston orders drive December sales

Taiwan-based USB designers Skymedi and Solid State System (3S) turned in strong performances for December against a general seasonal decline in the IC design industry, with the former's sales hitting a company record on orders from Samsung Electronics, while the latter's were the highest since June 2007 thanks to orders from Kingston Technology, according to industry sources.
Skymedi, which the sources indicated has recently received orders from Samsung for microSD controllers, reported December sales of NT$170 million (US$5.23 million). The sources estimated that Skymedi's sales for January may set yet another record at NT$200 million.
The Toshiba-invested 3S is seeing its sales buoyed by orders for flash driver controllers from Kingston, the sources said. The designer reported NT$54 million in December sales, up 20.6% sequentially

Samsung's 1080p PN58A750T lineup (available in 50- and 63-inch sizes) sports the same interactivity features and Ethernet port as seen on the LN52A750R, but adds a 15,000:1 contrast ratio and an ACE2 algorithm that reportedly 'improves image quality by reducing false image contours and on-screen noise.' Additionally, there are four HDMI 1.3 ports with CEC, USB 2.0/RS-232C sockets and the firm's own Ultra FilterBright 2, meant to ensure a clear picture even when surrounded by loads of ambient light.

Everex launched an ultra-mobile PC featuring the latest open source operating system from gOS at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.Measuring nine inches in length and weighing two pounds, the Everex CloudBook features a 1.2GHz VIA C7-M ULV mobile processor and averages five hours of battery life on a 4-cell, lithium-ion battery.
